Need help

We recently moved into an old house and the lady who lived here before had a dog. Presently it smells truly terrible inside this house. I believe that this dog had peed in every corner and along every wall. Also, some parts of hardwood floors are covered with dark urine stains. While I was hunting online down a few tips, I found an article on how to remove pet urine stains from hardwood flooring and seems pretty good http://www.rbcclean.com/blog/cleaning-tips/how-to-remove-pet-urine-stains-from-hardwood-flooring/. Does anyone here have any idea on this ?

I usually pour hydrogen peroxide directly on the stain.
